Meanders through Glanusk Estate's rolling parkland with gentle to moderate inclines, offering stunning views across the Usk Valley and Black Mountains. Suitable for families with older children who can manage uneven terrain and some hills, though not buggy-friendly due to stiles and rough paths. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Worth it for the historic estate setting, ancient woodland sections, and panoramic countryside vistas typical of the Brecon Beacons fringes.

Black Mountains Fell Race

Follows a demanding fell race course through the Black Mountains with relentless climbs and technical descents across open moorland and ridge lines. Not suitable for young children or buggies—this is steep, exposed terrain requiring good fitness and navigation skills. Dogs welcome but must be comfortable with challenging gradients and potentially boggy sections. Rewards experienced walkers with spectacular panoramic views across the Brecon Beacons and a genuine sense of accomplishment.

Beacons Way

Traverses the entire Brecon Beacons National Park east to west over 152km of varied terrain, from steep mountain ascents (including Pen y Fan) to gentler riverside valleys and moorland. Not suitable for young children or buggies due to challenging gradients, rough ground, and remote sections. Dogs welcome but must be fit and capable on rocky, exposed terrain. Offers spectacular ridge walks, waterfalls, and classic Welsh mountain scenery across one of Britain's finest long-distance trails.
