Best suited for older children and experienced walkers—too long and remote for buggies or very young kids. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Rewards with sweeping views of the Test Valley, historic villages like Broughton and Pitton, and a genuine sense of rural solitude between two cathedral cities.

PAWS Woodland Walk, Mottisfont

Meanders through peaceful National Trust woodland with mostly flat, well-maintained paths suitable for families and pushchairs. Dogs welcome on leads. Short but rewarding loop offering ancient trees, seasonal bluebells, and glimpses of the Test Valley – perfect for little legs or a gentle post-picnic stroll around the historic Mottisfont estate.

Mottisfont Estate Walk, Mottisfont

Loops through National Trust woodland and riverside meadows with gentle, mostly flat terrain following the River Test. Families with older children will enjoy it, but the 9km distance and some uneven woodland paths make it less suitable for buggies or very young kids. Dogs welcome on leads throughout the estate. Worth doing for the stunning Test Valley scenery, ancient trees, and the chance to explore Mottisfont Abbey's beautiful grounds (house entry separate).
