Berwickshire Coastal Path

Stretches 48km along Berwickshire's dramatic clifftops and secluded coves between Cockburnspath and Berwick-upon-Tweed. Terrain varies from gentle coastal grassland to steep rocky sections with significant ascents and descents—definitely not buggy-friendly. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock and nesting birds. Families with older children will love rock-pooling at Coldingham and spotting seals at St Abb's Head, while the geology and seabird colonies make this a standout coastal walk.

Discovery Trail

Meanders through gentle woodland and open countryside with mostly flat terrain and well-maintained paths. Perfect for families with young children and pushchair-friendly in dry conditions. Dogs welcome on leads. Offers a relaxed introduction to the Scottish Borders landscape with interpretive points highlighting local wildlife and history along the way.

St. Abb's Head Trail

Follows dramatic clifftop paths with steep drop-offs and uneven, rocky terrain – not suitable for buggies or toddlers. Dogs welcome on leads due to nesting seabirds and sheer edges. Expect moderate climbs and descends around the headland. Spectacular views over the North Sea, abundant wildlife including puffins and guillemots during breeding season, and a working lighthouse make this one of Scotland's finest coastal walks.
