Centenary Way

Spans 134km across North Yorkshire's moors and dales with varied terrain from gentle riverside paths to steep moorland climbs – definitely not one for buggies and best tackled in sections by families with older, experienced children. Dogs welcome throughout on leads near livestock. The route links Filey's coast to the Yorkshire Dales, passing through historic market towns, ancient abbeys, and dramatic escarpments offering sweeping views across Herriot Country.

White Rose Way

Traverses 100 miles of Yorkshire countryside from Leeds to Scarborough, linking major abbeys and historic sites. Expect varied terrain – rolling farmland, moorland ascents, and coastal stretches – with some steep climbs through the North York Moors. Not suitable for buggies; challenging for young children on longer sections. Dogs welcome throughout. Offers quintessential Yorkshire landscapes, medieval heritage, and the rewarding finish at the North Sea coast.
