Terrain is rugged with steep ascents and descents throughout—not suitable for buggies or very young children. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Spectacular coastal scenery and wildflowers reward the effort, though expect challenging sections on rocky, uneven paths with significant elevation changes.

South West Coast Path (Section 21: St Ives to Pendeen)

Follows rugged clifftops with steep, sustained ascents and descents over 20+ miles of exposed coastal terrain. Definitely not suitable for buggies or young children—paths are narrow, uneven, and drop sharply to the sea in places. Dogs welcome but keep them leashed near cliff edges and grazing livestock. Rewards effort with dramatic Atlantic views, remote coves, abandoned mine engine houses, and wild, windswept headlands that showcase Cornwall's mining heritage and untamed north coast.
