South West Coast Path (Section 48: Abbotsbury to Ferrybridge)
Follows dramatic clifftops and sweeps down to Chesil Beach's famous pebble bank, with steep climbs out of Abbotsbury and moderate undulations throughout. Not suitable for buggies due to uneven coastal terrain and stiles; manageable for older children who are confident on hills. Dogs welcome but keep on leads near livestock and cliff edges. Offers stunning Portland views, wild coastal scenery, and the remarkable sight of Chesil Beach's 18-mile shingle barrier curving toward the Fleet Lagoon.
