West Highland Way (High Route to Fort William)
Tackles dramatic Highland terrain with sustained steep climbs and rocky sections, rewarding experienced walkers with spectacular views over Loch Linnhe and Ben Nevis. Not suitable for young children or buggies—this is proper mountain walking requiring fitness and proper footwear. Dogs welcome but must be capable hillwalkers themselves. The high-level alternative to the standard West Highland Way finale offers solitude and arguably better vistas than the lower route into Fort William.
