Freshwater Way

Follows the Freshwater River valley through woods and wetlands on gentle, mostly flat terrain with some short inclines. Excellent for families with older children who don't mind potentially muddy sections, though narrow woodland paths make buggies impractical. Dogs welcome and will love the varied scenery. Worth doing for the peaceful riverside atmosphere, abundant birdlife, and lovely mix of habitats that showcase the Isle of Wight's quieter, greener side.
