Tennyson Down Trail, Isle of Wight
Follows the dramatic chalk ridge above the Needles with steady climbs and exposed clifftop sections – expect moderate inclines and breathtaking coastal views. Not suitable for buggies due to uneven terrain and steep gradients; older children who are confident walkers will manage fine. Dogs welcome but keep on leads near cliff edges and grazing livestock. The Tennyson Monument and sweeping panoramas across the Solent make this one of the Isle of Wight's most rewarding coastal hikes.
