Cleveland Way

Traverses 109 miles from Helmsley across the North York Moors to the coast, then south along dramatic cliffs to Filey. Expect steep moorland climbs, exposed ridges, and challenging coastal sections with significant ascents. Not suitable for buggies or young children due to length, terrain and cliff-edge paths. Dogs welcome but must be controlled near livestock and cliff edges. Rewards with sweeping heather moorlands, historic abbeys, and some of England's most spectacular coastal scenery.

Three Feathers Walk (Kilburn)

Loops through Kilburn village and surrounding North Yorkshire farmland with gentle rolling terrain and some moderate inclines. Mostly field paths and quiet lanes—suitable for older children but expect stiles and muddy patches that rule out buggies. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Named after the Kilburn White Horse carved into nearby Roulston Scar, this route offers classic Hambleton Hills views and glimpses of Robert Thompson's famous 'Mouseman' workshop village.
