South West Coast Path (Section 48: Abbotsbury to Ferrybridge)
Follows the dramatic Jurassic Coast clifftops with steep, challenging ascents and descents between Abbotsbury and Portland. Not suitable for buggies or very young children due to exposed cliff edges, uneven terrain, and sustained climbs. Dogs welcome on leads, especially near livestock and cliff sections. Rewards walkers with stunning World Heritage coastline views, fossil-rich beaches, and the iconic Chesil Beach stretching towards Portland—a bucket-list segment for serious coastal hikers.
