The gate clicks shut behind you and suddenly it's just rolling farmland, the soft lowing of cattle, and the kind of quiet you forget exists until you're standing in it.

This is proper Caravan and Motorhome Club CL territory — five pitches tucked onto working farmland, perfect for couples touring in their van or caravanners who've had their fill of packed sites. It's the sort of place where you unwind with a cup of tea on the step, watch the light change over the fields, and maybe chat to the farmer when they pass by. Dogs are welcome by arrangement, so worth asking when you book if you've got a four-legged companion keen to stretch their legs.

Facilities aren't listed in detail, so come prepared for a simpler setup — freshwater and waste points are standard CL fare, but this is off-grid camping at heart. Campfires need checking on arrival, though there's something lovely about the possibility. It's quiet, it's authentic, and if you're after a proper countryside escape without the fuss, Barrow Farm delivers exactly that.
