Mixed terrain of forest tracks and narrower woodland paths makes it manageable for older children but tricky for buggies. Dogs welcome on leads near wildlife areas. Offers proper Lake District forest walking with viewpoints over the fells, plus sculptural surprises dotted along the trail that keep younger walkers engaged.
