The stone walls glow warm in the morning light here, with the fells rising just beyond the village and the beck tumbling past on its way down the valley.

This one's for walkers tackling the Three Peaks, couples after a proper roof and a hot shower between hikes, or anyone wanting a foothold in the Dales without canvas overhead. You've got camping pods if you want something simple and your own space, or guest house rooms if comfort wins out after a long day on Ingleborough. Dogs are welcome by arrangement, so worth asking when you book.

It's a straightforward, no-fuss setup — pods are basic shelter, the guest house side offers the usual B&B warmth. Campfires need checking on arrival, so don't assume. The village itself is a classic Dales gem, all limestone and old pack-horse routes. If you're an angler, Eagle Pond and Mount Pond are both within easy reach on foot. Year-round opening means it's there when the hills call, whatever the season. Honest, functional, well-placed for the high country.
