Winds through mixed woodland and open grassland on the edge of Wroughton village, offering gentle, well-maintained paths suitable for families and buggies on firmer sections. Dogs welcome throughout. Mostly flat terrain with occasional mild inclines, making it an easy escape into nature with pleasant seasonal wildlife spotting and shaded stretches perfect for warmer days. The variety of landscapes keeps young walkers engaged without demanding much stamina.

South Swindon Green Trail

Meanders through urban green spaces and parks in South Swindon, mostly flat with gentle inclines along former railway lines and woodland paths. Perfect for families with buggies on paved sections, though some natural trail segments may be bumpy. Dogs welcome throughout. Avebury Ridgeway Walk

National Trust

Follows the ancient Ridgeway track across gently rolling chalk downland with some moderate climbs.
