The smell of a proper farmhouse breakfast drifts across the yard before you've even stepped out of your pod.
Bonehill Farm works well for couples after a cosy stopover in the Peak District and anyone who likes the idea of glamping comfort with a proper guest house backup — warm showers, a good breakfast, a roof if the weather turns. The pods give you that canvas-and-stars feeling without the faff, while the B&B rooms are there if you'd rather sleep properly warm. Dogs are welcome by arrangement, so worth asking ahead if you're travelling with one. Derby's close enough for supplies, but you're firmly in walking country here — all dry-stone walls and high moorland.
It's a working farm setup, so expect a bit of life about the place rather than manicured quiet. Campfires need checking on arrival, and if you're an angler, Chicken Shed water is within easy reach for a morning or evening session. Open all year, which makes it handy for off-season breaks when most campsites are shuttered.
