Buckfastleigh to Totnes Trail

Follows the old Great Western Railway line along the River Dart through peaceful woodland and riverside meadows. Mostly flat, well-surfaced path ideal for families, buggies, and dogs. Gentle 7-mile route connecting two market towns with excellent wildlife spotting—herons, kingfishers, and otters if you're lucky. Perfect for a leisurely half-day walk with pub stops at either end.

Dart Valley Trail

Follows the River Dart through stunning Devon countryside with moderate terrain including some steady climbs and woodland sections. The trail's well-maintained paths are generally suitable for older children but not buggy-friendly due to uneven ground and steps. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock.
