Cascade Trail

Winds through mixed woodland with gentle, well-maintained paths suitable for families and buggies. Dogs welcome on leads. The highlight is a series of small waterfalls along a babbling stream, creating peaceful spots to pause and enjoy the cascade sounds. Easy terrain makes this ideal for young children, though paths can be muddy after rain. A lovely quick nature escape.

Mynydd Moel-Tyrrau Mawr ridge walk

Climbs steeply onto open moorland along a classic Welsh ridge between Mynydd Moel and Tyrrau Mawr, with dramatic views across mid-Wales. Rough, exposed terrain with boggy patches and unclear paths in places—proper boots essential. Not suitable for buggies or young children due to the gradient and remote nature. Dogs welcome but keep close during lambing season. Rewards effort with genuine solitude and sweeping upland scenery.
