West Highland Way (Kingshouse to Kinlochleven)

Traverses the dramatic Devil's Staircase—a steep, rocky ascent with over 260m of climbing—before descending through Glen Coe scenery into Kinlochleven. Not suitable for buggies or very young children due to sustained steep gradients and uneven terrain. Dogs welcome but need good fitness for the climb. The 24km distance and sustained elevation gain make this challenging for families—not suitable for buggies or young children. Dogs welcome but must be fit and capable on rugged, often rocky terrain. The final stage of Scotland's most famous long-distance trail rewards with unforgettable mountain vistas.

Mamores Trail

Tackles challenging Highland terrain with sustained steep ascents across multiple Munros in the Mamores range. Experienced hillwalkers only – exposed ridges, scrambling sections, and rapidly changing weather demand navigation skills and full mountain kit. Not suitable for children, buggies, or inexperienced walkers. Dogs physically capable can join but must handle rocky ground and steep descents. Rewards include dramatic Glen Nevis views and genuine Scottish mountain wilderness.
