Beach Trail

Meanders through gentle Scots pine forest on mostly flat, well-maintained paths with soft sandy sections underfoot. Perfect for families with buggies and young children, offering easy access to Loch Morlich's stunning beach where kids can paddle and build sandcastles against a backdrop of Cairngorm peaks. Dogs welcome and will love the loch access. Short enough for little legs but delivers proper Highland scenery without the effort.

Ryvoan Trail

Follows a well-maintained forest track through ancient Caledonian pines to the mystical Lochan Uaine (Green Lochan), renowned for its striking turquoise water. Mostly flat to gentle gradients on good paths, though some sections become muddy and rooty – suitable for older children but not buggies. Dogs welcome on leads near wildlife. The lochan's vivid colour and dramatic mountain backdrop make this one of the Cairngorms' most photogenic short walks, with possible red squirrel sightings en route.

Pine Knoll Trail

Winds through mature Caledonian pine forest on mostly flat, well-maintained paths with occasional gentle inclines and tree roots. Perfect for families with young children and manageable with all-terrain buggies on drier days, though some narrow sections may require lifting. Dogs welcome and will love the forest scents. Offers a peaceful escape among ancient pines with chances to spot red squirrels and woodland birds, plus stunning Cairngorms backdrop when trees part.
