South West Coast Path (Section 15: Padstow to Porthcothan)

Follows dramatic clifftops between charming Padstow and rugged Porthcothan Bay, passing several stunning beaches including Harlyn and Constantine. Expect challenging, steep ascents and descents throughout – definitely not suitable for buggies or very young children. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock and during bird nesting season. The constantly changing coastal scenery, hidden coves, and geological features make this a rewarding stretch despite the effort required.

Booby's Bay walk, North Cornwall

Loops 6.4km along dramatic clifftops between Constantine Bay and Trevose Head, with steep coastal gradients and potentially narrow, exposed sections. Not suitable for buggies or young children due to uneven terrain and sheer drops. Dogs welcome but keep on leads near cliff edges and livestock. Delivers spectacular Atlantic views, rugged rock formations, and the chance to spot seals and seabirds—quintessential North Cornwall coast walking managed by the National Trust.

Walk to Trevose Head from the bus stop, North Cornwall

Follows coastal paths and farm tracks with moderate, undulating terrain and some steep sections near clifftops. Not suitable for buggies due to uneven ground, stiles, and gradients, though adventurous families with older children will manage fine. Dogs welcome but must be kept under close control near livestock and cliff edges. Rewards with dramatic Atlantic views, Trevose Lighthouse, wild clifftop scenery, and excellent birdwatching opportunities along this classic North Cornwall headland walk.
