Easy escape from city bustle with good pub stops, though the industrial stretches near Alperton can feel less scenic. Ideal for casual strolls or longer canal-side rambles without challenging climbs.

Capital Ring link to Hanwell station

Follows part of London's 78-mile Capital Ring through Ealing's green corridors, linking riverside paths and parkland. Mostly flat with good surfacing – ideal for families, buggies and dogs. Expect urban park stretches mixed with canal towpaths. A practical section for accessible longer-distance walking close to West London, connecting neighbourhoods without the traffic hassle.

Capital Ring (diversion for flooding)

Follows the Capital Ring's flood diversion through Ealing, mostly flat with occasional gentle rises along riverside paths and residential streets. Suitable for families and buggies where pavements are good, though some sections may have uneven surfaces near the water. Dogs welcome on leads through built-up areas. Worth doing to complete this section of London's 78-mile orbital route while avoiding waterlogged stretches, connecting green spaces across west London's suburbs.
