The River Tilt runs cold and clear just beyond the trees, and on still mornings you can hear red deer calling from the surrounding Atholl Estate woodlands.

This is a well-kept site at the foot of the Cairngorms, tucked beside one of Scotland's most visited castles yet surprisingly peaceful once you're pitched. Tent campers and campervans are both welcome, and dogs can roam the estate trails that fan out from your pitch. Families drawn to Blair Castle's turrets and falconry displays tend to fill the site in summer, but walkers using it as a base for Glen Tilt and Beinn a' Ghlo routes keep it ticking through spring and autumn. You're in classic Highland Perthshire here — all big skies, ancient Scots pine, and mountains that seem to shift colour with the light.

Facilities cover the basics: electric hook-ups if you need them, clean toilet blocks, and wifi that works well enough for evening trip planning. The vibe is orderly and relaxed rather than wild — think mown grass and castle views rather than hidden bothy. Campfires are sometimes allowed, but check with the warden when you arrive.
