Cranborne Droves Way
Follows ancient drovers' paths across Cranborne Chase chalk downland with gentle to moderate inclines through open farmland and woodland edges. Terrain is mostly grassy tracks and bridleways that can get muddy in wet conditions, making it less suitable for buggies though manageable for older children used to longer walks. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Worth doing for the sense of history along these centuries-old trading routes and sweeping views across this Area of Outstanding Natural B
