Dogs welcome on leads near cliff edges and livestock. Rewards effort with stunning fossil-rich coastline views, golden undercliffs at Eype, and access to Golden Cap (highest point on south coast). Expect rough, uneven paths that can be slippery after rain. Best for experienced walkers seeking proper coastal hill walking.

Pinhay Warren Permissive Path

Follows gentle to moderate slopes across coastal grassland between Lyme Regis and Seaton, offering stunning views over the Jurassic Coast. The permissive path suits confident walkers but isn't ideal for buggies due to uneven ground and potential clifftop sections. Dogs welcome on leads. Worth doing for dramatic sea vistas and fossil-rich geology without the crowds of nearby tourist routes.

Seaton Tramway Walk

Follows the historic Seaton Tramway route along the Axe Estuary between Seaton and Colyton, offering level, easy terrain on mostly hard-surfaced paths – perfect for families with buggies and young children. Dogs welcome on leads. The flat 3-mile route runs alongside vintage trams, with excellent birdwatching opportunities across the wetlands and estuary, plus lovely views of the East Devon countryside. Ideal for a gentle stroll with refreshments available at both ends.
