The wind hums through the stone walls of this high mountain bothy, where silence sits thick as heather and the only company is the call of curlews over the moor.

This is for proper wild campers and hillwalkers who carry everything in and expect nothing but shelter — a traditional Scottish bothy tucked into remote country, open year-round to anyone willing to make the walk. Tent pitches nearby for those who prefer canvas, but the real draw is the bothy itself: bare walls, a fireplace if you're lucky, and the kind of solitude you can't buy. Check the dog situation before you set off, and ask about campfires when you arrive — bothy etiquette matters up here.

No facilities, no frills, no bookings. Bring what you need, leave it cleaner than you found it, and settle in for a night where the stars do all the talking. This is wild camping in its truest, rawest form.
