Castle Head Viewpoint, North Lakes Outdoors
Climbs steadily through woodland to a rocky outcrop with sweeping views over Derwentwater and the surrounding fells – one of the Lake District's finest short viewpoint walks. The path is well-maintained but includes steep sections and uneven steps, making it unsuitable for buggies though manageable for older children who are steady on their feet. Dogs welcome on leads. Takes around 45 minutes return, with the reward being panoramic vistas that punch well above the modest effort required.
