Winds through ancient limestone woodland with moderate climbs over rocky, tree-rooted paths and stone steps—definitely not buggy-friendly. Families with confident walkers will love spotting rare butterflies and orchids among the limestone pavements, plus panoramic views over Morecambe Bay from the ridge. Dogs welcome but keep them close during nesting season (spring/summer). Short but rewarding escape into one of the Lake District's lesser-known gems, with National Trust waymarking throughout.
