Follows historic battlefield sites from the 1471 Wars of the Roses battle through Tewkesbury's medieval streets and riverside meadows. Mostly flat terrain on paved paths and grass, making it excellent for families and pushchairs, though some meadow sections can be muddy after rain. Dogs welcome throughout. Combines genuine history with accessible walking – perfect for kids interested in knights and battles whilst adults enjoy the Abbey views and riverside scenery.

Eckington Wharf Circular Walk

Loops 3.5km through Worcestershire's gentle farmland and along the peaceful Avon, mostly flat with a few stiles to navigate. Suitable for confident walkers with older children, but buggies won't manage the field paths and riverside sections. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Enjoy lovely waterside views at the wharf itself and classic English countryside scenery – perfect for a quick escape without the crowds.

Follows varied terrain through Cotswold countryside with moderate climbs and descents across fields, woodland paths and quiet lanes. Not suitable for buggies due to stiles and uneven ground; manageable for older children used to longer walks. Dogs welcome but expect livestock in fields, so lead required. Delivers classic Cotswold scenery with honey-stone villages, rolling hills and far-reaching views across Gloucestershire's escarpment country.
