Parkland and Meadow Walk, Benthall Hall

Loops gently through the historic parkland and wildflower meadows surrounding this 16th-century stone manor house. Mostly flat grass paths with some uneven ground – manageable for steady walkers but not ideal for buggies. Dogs welcome on leads throughout the estate. Perfect for combining a short nature stroll with exploring the Hall's beautiful gardens and spotting seasonal wildflowers in the meadows.

George Maw Trail, Benthall Hall

Loops through National Trust woodland and meadows around Benthall Hall with gentle to moderate inclines and some uneven ground. The 6km circuit suits older children and reasonably fit families, but narrow paths and stiles make it unsuitable for buggies. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock and the hall grounds. Worth it for seasonal wildflowers, ancient trees, and glimpses of Ironbridge Gorge—named after Victorian botanist George Maw who lived at Benthall.

Loops through National Trust woodland and meadows around Benthall Hall with moderate climbs through the Severn Valley. Mixed terrain includes forest paths and grassy tracks that can get muddy after rain—not suitable for buggies, manageable for older children (8+) with reasonable fitness. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Rewards include glimpses of the historic hall, wildflower meadows in summer, and atmospheric woodland perfect for a peaceful mid-length ramble.
