Meanders through ancient Forest of Dean woodland before descending to the River Wye's scenic banks. Mostly gentle gradients on forest paths and tracks, though the final descent to the river is moderately steep and can be muddy. Suitable for older children with good stamina, but not buggy-friendly due to uneven terrain and steps. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Rewards you with stunning river views and a mix of dense forest atmosphere and open waterside scenery.

Monnow Valley Walk

Follows the scenic Monnow River through quiet farmland and wooded valleys with gentle to moderate inclines throughout. Mostly good underfoot but can be muddy after rain, making it tricky for buggies – better suited to older children who don't mind uneven paths. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. The peaceful riverside scenery, mix of meadows and ancient woodland, and relatively uncrowded trails make this a refreshing escape into the Welsh Marches borderlands.
