South West Coast Path (Section 48: Abbotsbury to Ferrybridge)
Follows the dramatic Jurassic Coast with steep climbs over Abbotsbury Hill and Chapel Hill before descending to Chesil Beach and the causeway to Portland. Challenging terrain with significant elevation changes – not suitable for buggies or very young children. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock and nesting birds. Rewards you with stunning coastal views, Fleet Lagoon wildlife, and access to iconic shingle beach formations that are part of England's only natural World Heritage Site.
