The fells rise quiet and green beyond the stone barn, and on clear mornings the light spills golden across Furness country — slow, soft, and miles from anywhere busy.

This is glamping proper: wooden chalets and camping pods tucked into the edges of the Lake District's less-trampled south-western corner, near Broughton-in-Furness where the valleys roll down toward the coast. It suits couples after a proper retreat, families who want comfort without the tent faff, and walkers using it as a base for Coniston, Ulverston, or the Duddon Valley. Dogs are welcome by arrangement, so worth asking ahead if you're bringing one.

You've got wifi if you need it, and campfires are allowed — check the arrangement when you arrive, as it depends on conditions and where you're pitched. The vibe here is peaceful rather than social, with enough space between pitches to feel properly away from it all. Good for switching off, waking slow, and spending your days out on the ridges or down by the estuary.
