River Avon Trail

Follows the River Avon through varied countryside from its source near Acton Turville to the Bristol Channel at Avonmouth. Expect flat to gentle terrain along riverside paths and meadows, though some sections cross fields and may be muddy after rain. Most stretches suit families and are dog-friendly, but pushchair access varies – check individual sections as some stiles and gates appear. Worth it for peaceful waterside scenery, wildlife spotting, and the satisfaction of tracing a river's journey

Long Ashton Village Circular Walk

Loops through Long Ashton's quiet lanes and field paths with gentle, undulating terrain—mostly flat with a few short inclines. Perfect for families and generally buggy-friendly on firmer sections, though gates and stiles may require navigation. Dogs welcome throughout. Offers lovely Somerset countryside views, glimpses of historic buildings, and a peaceful village atmosphere just minutes from Bristol's edge.
