Great Bernera Walk
Follows the dramatic coastline and interior of Great Bernera island in the Outer Hebrides, linking rocky shores, peat moorland, and historic crofting townships. Expect undulating terrain with moderate climbs, boggy sections after rain, and exposure to Atlantic winds. Suitable for older children and hardy dogs, but rough ground and minimal waymarking make buggies impractical. Rewards walkers with sweeping sea views, white-sand bays, and glimpses of island life.
