South West Coast Path (Section 35: Portwrinkle to Plymouth)

Follows dramatic clifftops and coastal sections with significant steep ascents and descents throughout—definitely challenging terrain unsuitable for buggies or very young children. Dogs welcome on leads, particularly near livestock and cliff edges. Delivers spectacular views across Plymouth Sound, passes historic military fortifications at Rame Head, and showcases some of Cornwall's most rugged coastline before reaching Plymouth's waterfront. Best for experienced walkers with good fitness levels

South West Coast Path (Section 34: Polperro to Portwrinkle)

Challenging terrain with rocky sections and many steps makes this unsuitable for buggies and difficult for young children. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock and clifftops. The ever-changing seascapes, hidden coves, and charming fishing villages make this a rewarding stretch of Cornwall's most spectacular coastal path.

Traces dramatic coastal clifftops and quiet coves between Plymouth's historic waterfront and Wembury Point, with moderate climbs and rocky, uneven paths throughout. Not suitable for buggies or very young children due to steep drops and challenging terrain. Dogs welcome on leads near cliff edges and through farmland. Rewards with stunning views across Plymouth Sound, secluded beaches, and the chance to spot seabirds and marine life around Wembury's distinctive Great Mew Stone island.
