Not suitable for buggies or very young children due to challenging terrain, cliff edges and steps. Dogs welcome but must be under close control near livestock and cliff paths. Delivers stunning sea views, geological wonders at Ladram Bay, charming stops in Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth, plus excellent rock-pooling opportunities.

Dawlish Ale Trail

Meanders through Dawlish's historic streets and coastal paths, linking pubs that once brewed their own ales. Mostly flat terrain on pavements and seafront promenades, making it pushchair-friendly and ideal for families. Dogs welcome in outdoor seating areas along the route. Perfect for combining gentle exercise with local history and refreshment stops, offering sea views and insights into Devon's brewing heritage while sampling traditional hostelries.

Teignmouth & Dawlish Way

Follows the South Devon coastline between two charming seaside towns, mixing clifftop paths with stretches along Brunel's famous sea wall railway line. Terrain varies from flat promenades to moderate clifftop climbs with steps – manageable for older children but not buggy-friendly. Dogs welcome on leads near wildlife areas. Offers stunning red sandstone cliffs, beaches, and the chance to watch mainline trains pass just metres from the waves. Best done in sections if you've got little ones, with
