The front door opens onto that particular North Wales welcome — warm, unhurried, with the faint tang of sea air drifting up from Llandudno's Victorian promenade a short walk below.

This is one for couples after a proper bed and a cooked breakfast, walkers tackling the Great Orme who'd rather not sleep on the ground, and anyone wanting a base in Llandudno without the big-hotel feel. There's a camping pod too if you fancy something in between. The town itself is all striped deckchairs and pier nostalgia, with Conwy Castle and Snowdonia both within easy reach for day trips. Dogs are welcome by arrangement, so worth asking ahead if you're bringing one.

It's a guest house first and foremost — expect a proper roof, hot showers, and none of the guesswork that comes with pitching a tent. Campfires need checking on arrival. Open all year, which makes it a solid winter bolth.

Climbs steeply through open hillside with rocky sections and uneven terrain—not suitable for buggies or very young children. Dogs welcome but keep them close near grazing sheep. The ascent rewards you with sweeping views over Conwy Castle, the estuary, and Snowdonia's peaks. Quieter alternative to the main route, though still challenging underfoot with loose stones in places. Best for confident walkers comfortable with sustained uphill walking.
