South West Coast Path (Section 30: Falmouth to Portloe)

Follows dramatic clifftops along one of England's most rugged coastlines, with steep ascents and descents throughout—definitely not suitable for buggies or young children. The terrain is challenging but rewards with stunning views over hidden coves, fishing villages like Portscatho, and the Roseland Peninsula. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock and clifftops. Expect proper hiking boots, good fitness levels, and several hours of coastal walking through some of Cornwall's finest scenery.

South West Coast Path (Inland Diversion)

Deviates inland from the main coastal trail, typically used when clifftop sections are closed due to erosion or storm damage. Expect mixed terrain with some moderate climbs and descents as the path navigates around hazards. Generally suitable for older children and dogs, though buggies won't cope with stiles and uneven ground. Worth it for safer passage when coastal conditions are dicey, though you'll miss the dramatic sea views that make the main route special.
