The lane drops you down towards the Ceredigion coast, where gulls call over the headland and the air tastes of salt and wild garlic in spring.

Ty Gwyn takes campervans and caravans within striking distance of Mwnt — that dramatic little cove with its whitewashed church perched above the beach, one of West Wales's most photogenic spots. This is a base for coastal walkers tackling the Wales Coast Path, families after rockpooling and sandcastles, and anyone drawn to the quieter stretches of Cardigan Bay. The village of Aberporth is close by for supplies, and the whole area feels properly unhurried, especially outside the school holidays.
