Westmorland and Furness Way: Stage 3 - High Route
Tackles steep, challenging terrain through the Howgill Fells with significant ascents and exposed moorland sections. Not suitable for young children or buggies – this is serious hill walking requiring proper boots, navigation skills, and fitness. Dogs welcome but must be under close control near livestock. Rewards experienced walkers with dramatic fell scenery, sweeping views across the Lune Valley, and a genuine sense of wilderness on one of Cumbria's quieter mountain ranges.
