Rookhope Trails 1
Winds through historic lead-mining country in the North Pennines, following largely gentle valley paths with some moderate climbs around old spoil heaps and industrial remains. Suitable for older children used to uneven ground, but not buggy-friendly due to rough terrain in places. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Explores a fascinating industrial landscape where Victorian mining heritage meets wild moorland, with excellent views across Weardale's hills.
