This is proper wilderness shelter for hillwalkers, backpackers, and anyone who measures a good night by stars rather than showers. Leckie Bothy offers the barest essentials — a roof, a hearth, space to roll out your sleeping bag or pitch inside if the weather's truly foul. It's maintained by volunteers, free to use, and operates on the bothy code: leave it cleaner than you found it, respect other users, take all rubbish home. Dogs are welcome but check the latest guidance, and while there's a fireplace, campfire rules vary — ask locally or check the Bothy Association before you light anything.
