Spanorium Skyway

Follows an elevated woodland trail with moderate inclines through ancient forest, offering spectacular canopy-level views from a series of suspended walkways and platforms. Suitable for confident families with older children (10+) as the height and narrow sections aren't ideal for buggies or very young ones. Dogs welcome but must be comfortable with height and metal grating underfoot. The unique perspective of the forest from above makes this genuinely memorable, especially during autumn colours

Spans 72km through managed woodland and former industrial sites with mostly flat to gentle gradients, though some moderate climbs around valley edges. The full route is best tackled in sections; families can easily manage shorter stretches on well-maintained paths, though full-distance attempts aren't buggy-friendly due to length and occasional rough surfaces.
