Follows the scenic Northumberland coast near Berwick-upon-Tweed, largely flat with well-maintained paths along clifftops and beaches. Offers stunning sea views, dramatic rock formations, and opportunities to spot seabirds and seals. Rich in literary connections to local painter L.S. Lowry, who frequently visited this coastline for inspiration.

King Charles III England Coast Path: Bamburgh to Scottish Borders

Follows Northumberland's dramatic coastline from Bamburgh Castle northward to the Scottish border, mixing sandy beaches, rocky headlands, and clifftop paths with moderate inclines and occasional steep sections. Not suitable for buggies due to uneven terrain, stiles, and coastal steps, though families with older children who enjoy adventure will love the castle views and seal-spotting opportunities.
