Cissbury Ring History and Nature Trail, Sussex East
Circles the ramparts of one of Britain's largest Iron Age hillforts with stunning Sussex Downs views. Mostly gentle gradients on grass paths, though the initial climb to the ring is moderately steep. Generally suitable for older children (8+) but challenging for buggies due to uneven terrain and gates. Dogs welcome on leads near grazing livestock. Combines ancient history with wildflower meadows and panoramic coastal vistas stretching to the Isle of Wight.
