Castle Head Viewpoint, North Lakes Outdoors
Climbs steeply through woodland to a spectacular panoramic viewpoint over Derwentwater and surrounding fells – worth every step. The short but energetic ascent on well-maintained National Trust paths isn't suitable for buggies, and young children will need a hand on the steeper sections. Dogs welcome on leads. Takes around 45 minutes return, rewarding walkers with one of the Lake District's most accessible summit views without committing to a full fell walk.
