Wotton-under-Edge Cotswold Gateway Route 1

Climbs steadily from Wotton-under-Edge up onto the Cotswold escarpment with some steep sections, particularly on the ascent. The 12km loop offers panoramic views across the Severn Vale and explores ancient woodland and limestone grassland. Not suitable for buggies due to uneven terrain, stiles, and significant elevation gain. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Best for confident walkers seeking classic Cotswold scenery without venturing far from town.
