Suitable for older children comfortable with distance, but too challenging for buggies due to stiles and uneven surfaces. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Worth doing for its pastoral Severn Vale scenery, historic churches linking the cathedral cities, and peaceful countryside away from main roads.

Three Choirs Way (Hollybush to Gloucester)

Follows a long-distance trail section through Gloucestershire countryside with moderate climbs over the Malvern Hills then gentler terrain approaching Gloucester. Not suitable for buggies due to rough paths, stiles and steep sections early on. Dogs welcome on leads near livestock. Rewards walkers with sweeping views across three counties, historic villages, and quiet woodland stretches linking the cathedral cities celebrated in the Three Choirs Festival.
