Showcases the area's industrial heritage with remnants of slate quarries, plus rewarding hillside views across mid-Wales valleys. Good waymarking throughout, though boots recommended after rain as surfaces

The trail showcases beautiful cascading waterfalls and moss-covered rocks, offering a peaceful nature escape with minimal effort required—perfect for a short leg-stretch near your campsite.

Mynydd Moel-Tyrrau Mawr ridge walk

Tackles a classic Welsh ridge with sustained, steep climbs rewarding you with sweeping Cambrian Mountain views. Rocky, uneven terrain throughout makes this unsuitable for buggies and challenging for young children—older kids with hill experience will love it. Dogs welcome but keep them close near sheep. Proper boots essential for the exposed, often boggy sections between summits.
